The Design and Develop club is a club for students who want to learn how to 3D print, laser cut, machine metal, weld, 3D model, and various other prototyping and development skills. Our club is open to all majors and works to help students work on personal and club projects with our tools, resources, and knowledge.

Mission
Drone Club serves to supplement the curriculum found in many of SUNY Poly's engineering disciplines with hands-on drone work.

Every year we host a workshop for students to come and build their own ‘Tiny Whoop’ drone. These builds help allow course knowledge to be deployed to a tangible application. Both beginners and drone enthusiasts alike are able to learn more about the industry as a whole and the newly emerging sport of drone racing. Each month we strive to connect our members and new students at ‘Whoop’ races, where best piloting techniques and all-encompassing drone knowledge is shared.


Lastly, one of our focuses this year is to host a Part 107 exam certification course. This certification is required to fly drones commercially. We are developing the means to make this available to the entire community and student body completely free. Ultimately, our goal is to help elevate students to the education necessary to pursue the available opportunities in this new industry.

The mission of the SUNY Poly Finance Club is to promote financial literacy and provide an open community where students can learn about, discuss, and explore personal finance, investing, economics, and other financial topics. The club is open to all SUNY Poly students regardless of major or prior financial knowledge.

Members will gain practical financial knowledge and opportunities to discuss topics such as investing, saving, retirement accounts, the stock market, and general financial literacy. Members can participate in stock market simulations, discussions of current economic events, member-selected topics, and guest speaker events. The purpose of the FinTech Club is to explore and advance the intersection of finance and technology through hands-on learning, research, and project development. The club seeks to provide students with practical experience in areas such as algorithmic trading, investment analysis, blockchain applications, financial data analytics, and any other subject under the fintech umbrella. Using a dedicated computing server, members will gain exposure to real-world financial technologies, experiment with trading simulations, and build innovative tools that prepare them for careers in finance, technology, and entrepreneurship. Members will gain real-life experience and develop resume-ready projects that can be shown to employers in the fintech industry.

Members of FinTech will engage in projects such as building a virtual stock portfolio using the FinTech's personal AI server and other resources to assist them. While SUNY Poly offers many sports, football is not included in the list. Flag Football gives students the chance to play football in a safer, non-tackle football environment while still getting to experience the sport. Flag football is gaining a lot of push from the athletics world, especially the NFL, due to being much safer from traditional tackle football. The club will host friendly games, drills, tournaments, and much more. All are welcome!
